Chemical and physical properties: Light yellow liquid with characteristic scent, almost non-soluble in water, soluble in ethanol.

Application: Production of soaps, greases, hydraulic and brake fluids, paints, waxes, pastes, nylon, pharmaceuticals, perfume and others. Plasticizer in nitrocelulose lackers.

Health safety: Often and protracted skin contact may cause irritation and infections. May irritate stomach and intestines when swallowed.
